WiiWare Now Available

WiiWare is now available on your Wii Console. No system update, just go into the shop and you'll see a rearranged menu.

Titles available are:

- Dr. Mario & Germ Buster (1000)
- Dr Mario Demo (0)
- Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life As King (1500)
- LostWinds (1000)
- Star Soldier R (800)
- Toki Tori (900)

The Dr. Mario demo only allows to play online against someone who's Friend Code you've registered (and bought the full game I think), so it's pretty useless as of this moment.

Are the downloads big? Don't have the credit to check at the minute, and it doesn't indicate how large they are before you purchase (as far as I could see).

LostWinds is a lovely little game, and its about 350 blocks to download (I had to delete a couple of VC games to make room)

Got lost winds for my girlfriend last night at bout 00:20. downloaded pretty quick. Nice little game. first save point aswell, she loves it anyway. So glad wii ware has finally arrived. Mine was just under 300 blocks I think. Don't forget you can back up games on a sd card if you need to make room for wiiware games.

Thats the problem, I'm right out of internal memory, can't run VC games from SD only store them, it's a bit crap really, I mean, whats the point in all those channel spaces when you'll never have enough memory to play a handful and so display a handful at a time?

Anyway, must pick up one or two, keep my eye on review pages.

One other thing, just because a game is "only" 1000 points does not excuse a lack oof content, remember these people are saving a fortune not having to spend money on traditional media based games, with money going to manufacture, shipping, the cost of storage, the cut the shops get and so on.
Not to mention that for the price of Lost Winds you can get Zelda, which is massive.

Yes Steam has proven that digitial delivery is cheaper than shops.
