It will be a chance for fans to catch up with tracks from his forth coming Drumlesson Vol 2. He also been busy in the studio working mixes for Compost, Buzzin Fly, Raw Fusion, Soma, NRK to name but a few.

Don't miss this opportunity to down up close with a true legend with his unique blend soulfull techno and house.

    The History

Christian began experimenting with beatz and electronics in the late 80ies when still going to school and studying drums in Germany and NYC. While being a professional Drummer in the early nineties he experimented with beatboxes and sampling to go along with his drumming to change the sound of his instrument.
This led to replacing the drums by an Akai sampler and a Mpc60 drum machine. A few techno records for labels like Virgin, Kosmo or Bonzai followed.
Around «93 he meet up with Dj Roland Appel and started to produce records as Fauna Flash. First release on Compost Records around 1994. In the beginning Fauna Flash made a mark as Drum and Bass outfit, beeing played by Djs like Peshay, Fabio, Grooverider. The two played around Europe as a very energetic live duo. Albums (Aquarius + Fusion) and many remixes followed. Their Style has evolved into a deeper housier style. This year Fauna Flash made a mark with their remix for G-Stone artist Stereotype . Their techy/house mix of "Keeping me" made it into the sets of Dj Hell, Ame, Peter Kruder, Jazzanova.

1996 Dj Mr.Rainer TrŸby joined the production to form the new Truby Trio. Latin beatz and more diverse tracks for the dancefloor became the mission and tons of remixes followed. One of their tracks made it onto the huge K+D Sessions CD. The debut album "Elevator Music" was released 2003 on Compost records. With the much anticipated track "A gogo" that found its way onto many compilations, commercials and movie scores. Djing with the TrŸby Trio brought Christian Prommer to countries like the US, Japan, Mexico, Puerto Rico and all over Europe.

The Christian Prommers productions with Fauna Flash and the Truby Trio defined what the Sound of Compost Records became in the past decade.

Around 1998 C.Prommer teamed up with the producer/Dj Peter Kruder + Rolland .Appel to form the studio project VoomVoom. Singles on Compost Records followed.
The VoomVoom debut "PengPeng" followed 2006 on !K7.
Teaming up with Kruder led to producing the Album " Minx" for Roberto Di Gioias band Marsmobil. The Album has been nominated for the geraman Music Critics Award and the Amadeus award in Austria. Christian Prommer also played the drums on the Marsmobil tour 2007.
Prommer and Kruder kept on working together on many different album projects of which the Drum Lesson Vol. 1" album is the first one to see the light of the day.

Never letting the dancefloor out of sight he worked on remixes for Compost, Sonar Kollektiv, Schema. G-Stone and Buzzin«Fly and Warp. Stiring up attention of players like Ben Watt, Gilles Peterson, A.Barck, Henrick Schwarz, KJM, Ufo and many more.
He also is releasing 12" on Compost, Black Label, Buzzin«Fly, G-stone this year. Material for the night.

But his version of "Strings of Life" made its mark all across the genres this year.
Dj like G.Peterson , Rainer Truby, KJM and Patrick Forge got into it as well as Carl Craig, Derrick May, Mark Pritchard, Stacy Pullen. making it into an instant 2007 classic.
While still touring the world as Dj playing at locations like Fabric/London, Montreux Jazzfestival, Cielo-DeepSpace/NYC,Weekend+ Watergate/Berlin, WMC/Miami, Sonne Mond + Sterne Festival, the Registratur/Munich and many more he stared working on material for the DrumLesson project that brings him back to his origin: playing the DRUMS.
The music for this project is driven and composed from and around the drums. Using it as the main inspiration was a new era for the Beatprogramming/ Mpc-using producer. Playing the instrument opens new dimensions to the composition that get much more of a spiritual vibe than the sampling way. Playing with musicians and messing around with these tracks later is something that had to happen at one point, never loosing touch with the instrument. Changeing the formula is almost a standard procedure with him.
All that led to the debut album for Christian Prommer on Sonar Kollektv: Christian Prommers Drumlesson: Drum lesson Vol.1 + 2 .
