I am looking to put a motor on my dish. I know the angle on the motor should 53.5. I am damned if I can think what the dish should be. Is is zero.

You need the manual of the motor.

The dish declination depends on two things:
Motor elevation (90- degrees north, unless scale is in degrees north)
    angle of bend of arm.

With a straight arm there would still be declination as the satllites are not at infinity, but about 22,500 miles above equator. We are some distance at rightangles to equator apart from surface distance.

Every motor has a table of degrees north versus dish declination.
