Yes, I have the US version of UT3 and it works fine. (though I always get slaughtered!). I have heard however, that some games, like Army of Two (piece of sh!t), have trouble online due to segmenting the US, Asia and Europe. Search first, just in case...

Also, not all Blu-Rays are region-locked. Not sure of the website, but you can go through a list that states which ones are OK to run.

its actually crazy how much more expensive it is to buy in ireland compared to buying on the net. makes you wonder why you don't just buy off the net all the time. i think i will even blu rays are cheaper if you buy off hmv.com

If you do have problems with some online games from the US etc, would making a new profile and selecing US etc as your country fix the problem? It does not cost anything :D

good point cause i have done something similar on my 360 too be able to access the yank market place cause the dlc is better on their market place. it might work for that problem aswell. you would probably have to register with an american e - mail address aswell but thats no problem just set up a hotmail and put your address as america , california and your zip code as 90210:D. it works for the market place on 360 so it could be worth a shot.

You need an american credit card if you wish to purchase from the American store.

i see cause on 360 you can just use microsoft points i know its a pain in the ass trying to figure out how much your spending when you have to pay 400 600 or 800 points for somthing but at least if you dont have a credit card you can still buy stuff of the market place.
