    Hi Everyone,

Hoping you can help me please- looking for honeymoon ideas but restricted by budget- €2K for both of us /€1K each for flights and accom.

Are we better to go for a winter holiday within europe or aim for the sun outside Europe? The Canaries have been suggested but we went to Teneriffe last year and while it was lovely, neither of us want to go there for our honeymoon. With our budget could we manage 2 weeks or is it more practical to plan for one week?

    I'm so lost!

How about Egypt? You could get somewhere really nice there for your budget.
Do a search and you'll find a few threads about it.

Thank you! I'll give it a look into alright. Neither of us have been so it'd be a good choice.

you should look into going to thailand, at that time of year you will have great weather, an unbelievable holiday and within your said budget

i would say it really depends what you want. if it's lots of cultural activities and sightseeing or just sun and beach and lazing around. Egypt is great but it's not that hot in february, so it would be down to luck whether you would be able to laze by a pool at all.

if you're after sun and sea, etc...i would suggest you take a look at the dominican republic. it's in the carribean (well the south side is), it'll be hot and sunny, the beaches are lovely, the hotels are great (well some of them anyway), and for 1000 per person, you can get an all inclusive for a week, ten days, maybe even two weeks.

as mentioned, thailand would rank highly as well. one week travelling around and then one week lazing on a beautiful beach
