It's great having the "adverts we despise" thread in order to let us vent a little steam off against the artistically bankrupt rubbish that pollutes our television breaks on a daily basis.

However I thought it'd be nice if we also had an opposite to this. A place where we can put the adverts we actually admire and find artistically worthy or just downright entertaining!

Saw an ad yesterday where a guy was cutting his hedge with a radio controlled helicopter with the Airwolf music in the background. I thought, thats great, whats it for? Bloody bud light :rolleyes: Great ad, rubbish product.

Er the beer ad where the guy is looking for the bar where his friends are, he tries all the ones in the phonebook and it turns out it has some mad name like Grreeaaaaaarrggh. Can't find anything about it online.

Sweet Jesus, that ad is terrible! It's almost as bad as the one with the gob****e running all the way down the train to keep the signal for his phonecall. Everytime I pray one of the other passengers will punch him in the nuts.

The cravendale milk adverts should be in a museum of fine art somewhere...they're simply that good.

ive been searching for an ad i saw on 'reeling in the years' for ages now...

it was amazing.

not sure what year it was from,but it was for Harp, and it had loads of things like, "being with friends", and "Celebrating true love" (complete guesses btw) and every phrase ended with "and a pint of Harp"

it was amazing...i need to see it again

Couldn't agree more about the Grrrrrrreeeaagghhh ad. If that's the best that highly paid ad execs can come up with? Utter sh*te.

these ads are good in the sense they get people talking about the product but besides that they are just relying on the well-known song in each advert.

Ah i have to admit to loving the CLUB ORANGE (with juicy bits) ad ...

where the Honda comes humming out of the trees <at the wrong side of the ramp> and just crashes into the caravans oh how i laugh at that ad, really like it

I love the ad with the talking cookie!
It says something like "Hey you look great. I love what you did with your hair" and then the slogan comes up:
Maryland cookies, aren't they lovely?

I thought it was very good.

the gorilla playin the drums. The new had they have with the airport vehicles on the runway (dont stop me now) is not a patch on the gorilla.

My fave ad at the moment is the Toyota Auris one on the British channels. The tag line is 'More room for life' and it has Join With Us by The Feeling as the background music

I also get a chuckle out of the Mastercard school's out ad when about 100 teachers end up jumping in a pool with their clothes on


And who could ever forget 'ho ho ho GREEN GIANT!!!'

I love that Johnston Mooney and O'Brien ad too.

Farmer speaks into mobile in thick boggy voice - "No I can't make that. I have pilates this evening". Mother offering posh sandwiches and green tea.
