PS3 Hanging Randomly

    Hey guys,

    Reacently my PS3 has started hanging randomly in games..

    It's been happening completely randomly and doesn't seem to be linked to an particular event. Some times I will turn on the console and load a game and before it gets to the game menu it hangs.. Other times I'll be playing for an hour and then it will hang.

    At first I thought it was over heating but I noticed that sometimes I can just restart it and get a good gaming session start after.. It's really weird. And often you'll still be able to hear the music playing in the background...
    Any ideas?

    Also do you know when the Release Date was as I'm not sure and I'm hoping its still in warranty or its gonna be geh!!!

    have you updated to firmware 2.35? that was to fix some issues with certain games. 2.35 was just released this week

    Disable the RSS feed thingy in the top right hand corner. It has been known to cause issues.
    Also reset all the setting defaults too.

    What firmware are you using?
    What games are freezing the OS3? Don't say all of them. WHICH ones do you have that cause the freezing?
