Warning for O2 bill customers

    Just a short note to those of you who may have the cost of an upgrade included in their monthly bill.

    I went to purchase a new phone on the net from O2, at that time the website would not process my purchase so I rang O2 and completed the transaction over the phone. They told me they would add the cost to my next bill. Next bill showed the cost of the phone but also charged 21% VAT on the phone price which of course was VAT inclusive.

    Not a massive deal really but it was only by chance I realised it may be a mistake, they refunded the money to my account. However, I do wonder how often this may happen and would advise that other customers check the same error has not happened to them!

    the agent probably put the price inc vat onto your account as a charge we have a list of the ex and inc vat prices but are meant to put the ex vat ones on, simple mistake really, different charge reasons include vat but some dont

    Moral of the story = always watch what you're being charged for and make sure it's right.
