Is there a way to Convert WMA files to play on iTunes?

    Ok here's is my first question as a new Mac user.

    I have lots and lots of Music on an external HDD, a lot of it was ripped on Windows Media Player, some to MP3 files which play fine on itunes but alot of them are ripped as WMA files, is there a way to convert these so their playable on iTunes???

    1) download this: http://www.nch.com.au/switch/switchmac.zip

    2) put all your wma's into a folder and set the app to batch-convert into MP3

    3) drag them into iTunes

    4) listen

    I think that iTunes for Windows can convert these, but not iTunes for Mac.

    I downloaded that Switch porgram, when i went to convert it said i needed to download Windows media components for quicktime, i did that and all my WMA files now play on quick time but still not itunes. When i try to convert them using switch nothing happens and an orange 'X' appears beside each file.

    Is it a wrong setting or something, can anyone help me on this one
