Anyone know if Cadbury's have stopped making creme eggs for this year? :( I know they used to be a seasonal thing. I haven't been able to find them at all over the past week.

I suppose my waistline will be thankful if nothing else. (stop gloating, waistline).

They're available in bar form over here, they're called Twisted, I think. I've seen them but not tried them.

    http://www.cremeeggtwisted.com/

Couldn't find a pic in the first few pages of google.

    edit: Here's one:

I think they had a fairly short season with Easter being so early this year.

Just stock up on them before they go out, my mam usually gets about 5 6-pack boxes for me.:p

Aye those 'Twisted' bars are available over here too.
Some Tescos are selling off Creme Eggs, as are 2€shops too I think as others have said.

They had them either in Dunnes or Tescos recently, they were half price though so shouldn't be around for much longer. Don't see the appeal myself, I much prefer Galaxy caramel eggs. I got my Creme Egg loving mam one of those bars in Tescos the other day, she said it was nice, but she didn't sound too enthusiastic.

they are horrible , you can feel them eating away at your teeth

Those creme egg bars are absolutely nothing compared to creme eggs......so not a good substitute at all. I might just have to go and have one now.....I got a supply in the €2 shop!!

The shop next door to my job always has cream eggs on special.

    Yum.. Addictive..

The bars are yuk I think..

its a shame right cuz the eggs are DIVINE!!

but the bar i was so wtf when i saw and ate them in the shop that i went back for 4 more

over the last few weeks iv had a few more and there not actually that nice

    strange

Another naysayer on the bars here. Half the joy of a cream egg is the big dollop of sugary goo that you get, whereas the bar has more of a smear than a dollop.

aye I dislike the bars too... not nice

some of the 2euro shops still have creme eggs btw

The advantage of the bars is that you can eat them without requiring a shower afterwards. But that's only because they're seriously lacking in goo.

    I like both.

I had one of them bars yesterday.

Won't be having one again tbh.

Anyone seen the ad for the creme egg bar? It has a hairdryer in it and is quite good.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 391 ✭✭Beerlao

egg wins because the chocolate is good and thick, plus you have to work to get the goo out. the chocolate in the bar is thinner, and the goo is runnier... i wouldn't kick it out of bed for farting though

Had one of each yesterday..piggy..but thinking the eggs are going off cos they were 3for 1 euro..like the bars but no substitute..

A lot of them have best before dates of July 2008.

No idea... ...but my taste-buds agree with them, most pleasurably. Stocks of Creme Eggs appear to be getting smaller and smaller in shops now. They've lasted quite a while though since last Easter. I miss Easter... ...The chocolate used in Easter eggs is the nicest.

... ...Where are they? I live in Naas but I'm in Dublin each weekday for work.

Could never really decide if they were disgusting or delicious. Bit of both, I think.

Read the title and thought... ... ...

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :(

    So yummy! :p

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,084 ✭✭✭✭Stark

They definitely seem to be gone. I saw a load of them on sale a few weeks back, but most of them had best before dates of July 2008 and now I can't seem to get them anywhere :(

My favorite candy of all time! Thank god they aren't available year-round or I'd be huge.

Whatever the best-by date, the Spar in Talbot St seemed to have an ample supply of them the other day. They were selling them at three for one euro.
