    So, the OH was in for a yearly appointment with the OBGYN, and we just got word that she has a common STI that can be treated quickly and succesfully.

    I'm going to the Everyman Centre next week to sort myself out, and was wondering has anyone here experience with this place? I tried calling St James' GUIDE today with no reply, and I also spoke to Wellman & Everyman. Seeing as there's a substansial price difference between the two (over €100), I was wondering what people's experiences were with Everyman?

    Any genuine feedback appreciated.

    Hi OP,

    I've been to James they're really good, just that you'll be waiting a while but it's free. If you go to James try be there before 8 to make sure you're seen, it gets full early, and try bring a friend or something to chat with or a fully charge ipod and a book. I went with the girlfriend and we were very nervous but its mad how much of a laugh we had in between, the place if full of people and it makes you realise that stis and stuff affect everyone cross section of the entire community there from inner city to suberbia. Think its open Mon and thurs or fri maybe check the website and their follow up service was very good.

    Good luck with it

    Been myself twice. Its grand, very very discreet and private. Dr Kelly is the man in charge. No messing around, asked a few questions and tests are done. No lecturing. Can take about 12-14 days for results to come back. You phone up and he gives the good/bad news.

    Cheers for the replies;

    I'd tried calling James' a couple of times, but there was no reply. I can't really afford to take the time off work to sit and wait all day, so I contacted Everyman and got an appointment for next week.

    Hopefully it should be fine.

    Has anyone experience with the Wellman centre in D7?

    Just some feedback for future patients.

    I attended the Everyman Clinic on Mount St. It's in the ground floor of a Georgian Building, and it's a quiet office, with little in it.

    Dr Kelly if fine, very professional. It's a single office/surgery, no receptionist. I did some research afterwards and he also works for the Well Woman Clinic. He did a complete test, bloodwork and swab, and I called back two weeks later for results.

    Tests are done in James' and some other lab that I can't recall. I called back two weeks and got the results with no issue. I'd recommend, although I'm sure GUIDE would do just as well if you had the time.

    On a side note, do any of the mods know why Personal Issues' threads don't show up in searches??

    Im heading to the everyman clinic myself on wed. obviously im a bit nervous about it because im pretty sure ive got something! just hoping that its easily treated tbh....or better yet, if i dont have anything!

    i rang the Mater hoping for a freebe but thats appointment only and they're pretty booked up - offering me an appointment in may but as i said, im not in a position to wait! but in the future id defo try The Mater if im just curious for a regular check up due to the fact that its free!

    oh, one last thing, how much is everyman clinic? i heard somewhere its 80....does that include treatments in necessary or are the aside?
