Can anyone recommend a dual sim phone. My wife has a business and a personal number - one on o2 the other on vodafone. She'd like to have a phone with both sims. Is it possible to have a phone active on both networks simultaneously - by that I don't mean on some kind of 3 party call but able to receive and make calls on 2 networks simultaneously.

    thanks for any help

If you check up on eBay you'll find a number of handsets available from Chinese manufacturers that have dual and maybe triple sim capability. Read carefully though that some of them will only allow one sim to be active at a time (more noticeable on tri-band handsets) while others will allow both to be active at the same time.

The manufacturers of these handsets are mostly smaller handset makers or the "Chinese clones" though as mentioned Samsung have released such a device. The major handset makers though aren't generally interested as no network operator will really want to be subsidising a phone that easily allows access to another network at the same time.

www.expansys.ie do it afaik ... the model name escapes me. Some of those chinese ones might not be a great idea! But you never know what you'll get until it arrives.

This isn't what he's looking for. He wants both SIMs to be active at the same time. This adapter will not do this.

He wants something like this - http://www.expansys.ie/p.aspx?i=164807
