Right don't seem to have been discussed anywhere(if it has, delete this mod's)!

Looking at it here now,and I'm surprised, really unconventional!

So here it is,they went with a 4-3-3:

    James

    Johnson----Ferdinand
    Laursen----Lescott

    Flamini

    Fabregas
    Gerrard

    Ronaldo
    Young

    Torres

+1, also evra ahead of lescott for definite

annoyed me the way Andy Gray just kept saying "it would have been easy to put anyone from United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool, but we wanted something different"

Johnson has been excellent every time I've seen him this year.

From what i saw it was Jamie rednapps deision to go 4-3-3
Andy gray wanted 4-4-2 and he said he would have dropped Flamini probably for Adebayor up front

I was reading an Andy Gray column on monday and he named his team of the year, it was Fabregas and Essien in midfield and he had Gerrard up front behind Adebayor.

No Chelsea and 2 from Liverpool, Utd and Arsenal. I'd have stuck Downing in at the expense of Johnson and go with a Liverpool style formation of 3 at the back.

My mistake. But my point was more about having Gerrard up front. Either put him in your midfield or not, but not up front ahead of the likes of Santa Cruz and Adebayor.

What when did we go back to 1998 and 3 at the back.

    Liverpools settled formation has been 4 2 3 1

So he comprimised just to be *cool* . LOB.

Essien would have been a great shout.

Johnson at full back, WTF like !

If they put Johnson in instead of Sagne and Laursen in instead of Vidic etc, why didn't they put Bentley in instead of Ronaldo or Santa Cruz for Torres? Also didn't see the need to stretch the programme over an hour and a half.

gotta love it, there are as many Villa players as there are Arsenal, Liverpool or Man utd ones and two more than there are from Chelsea:D

very good point,if they were gona make a point of including players from outside the top 4 they should have done it fairly.

although to put anyone up front instead of torres would be bordering on criminal.

Yeah was annoying watching it last night. "It would be easy to pick Vidic"

because he was one of the best defenders?
