In response to complaints that posting these is pointless or stupid:-

Christ, what an over reaction. Its a blasted WIT Forum. If we were to limit the discussion to calling WIT or emailing them, you wouldnt get a good response or a proper answer.

I picked up some leaflets on the IT Courses, and decided to post up about them. Its a WIT forum. The WIT website is awful and outdated in aspects. I thought by putting together information on some of the IT courses it might generate more awareness of such courses and rise any questions. A lot of people ask me about what IT courses are availalbe, what there like, carrier opportunites etc.

The Applied Computing has had a lot of questions in the WIT Forum - which some can even be answered on the WIT website. Likewise has Computer Forensics. Sometimes its good to make the information available on a discussion form and allow people to discuss it more easily/freely. Its fully above board, and nothing is wrong with it. If you dont like it, leave. Its a WIT Forum, expect stuff about WIT to appear on it.

And no Minto, you wouldnt be banned. It would be classed as constructive posting. Why? Because you would be posting up information on courses within WIT to allow people read about it here or discuss it instead of trawling through the WIT website for vague or outdated information.

End of discussion. If you dont like it, go to Feedback and complain that the WIT forum is discussing WIT topics. Topic created here.

    Topic Cleaned.

So if I made one thread about BBS, one about HCBS, another about BA Accounting, another about BA in Corporate Admin, another about BA in International Business, it'd be ok? I would have thought that ONE thread ad make a post about each course in it and let people discuss them in that one thread would have been a better idea.

I wouldnt have a problem with it, but im open to suggestions in the topic in Feedback. Its a WIT forum - why would I limit or ban those discussing all things WIT related? I felt a sticky would get to messy. Anyway, discuss that in the Feedback Topic please. :)

Anybody in this course? How do you find it?

i'm not on the course but we're mixed for maths. it looks a lot harder than it is and the maths lecturers are really good. if you stay on top of it and ask questions you won't have a problem. you'll only be doing it for first year too.
