I found one of these in Tesco (Merrion) a while back and it was delicious, but I've never managed to find one since (checked Tesco Merrion, Stillorgan and Dundrum).

Does anyone know somewhere that stocks them? Thanks in advance!

edit: aslo, same question regarding the Durian Fruit, which sounds fascinating

Did you try Superquinn in Blackrock? They seem to have a pretty wide variety of exotic fruit.

Durian is disgusting... Hate it. It's really not good.

Best place is one of the asian markets around town. They might stock them on occasion.

Do you want to elaborate on who you came to the conclusion ;)

You can get Durian in the asian markets when they are in season. It's got a strong smell of fermenting fruit and got the texture of a creamy custard. Not something I like personally but it's eaten in many places in asian. It doesn't really taste like feet though.

A friend tricked me into eating a durian flavoured sweet he'd brought back from China. I had to spit it straight out and just couldn't get the taste out of my mouth. Granted, it may not have been an entirely accurate representation of the durian fruit, but it's certainly put me off for life.

Might it have been a sweet meant to taste like the smell of the fruit. It's supposed to smell vile but taste nice?

Anyway, I searched a fair bit, couldn't find any in any of the supermarkets, but I eventually got some in the Asian market on Drury street.

Thanks for the help and suggestions!
