    hi

id really appreciate any help with this.

im looking to go to orlando from dublin at the start of september for about 10 days. currently the price is about 700 euro upwards. (i know theyve some sort of sale at the minute but its too soon for me to be booking though)

now i know its very hard to judge but im just wondering if anyone knows if this price will go down much between now and then?

    thanks in advance

Unlikely that it will go down.

Remember, they sell the cheap seats first and as they go the price climbs.

There is always a small chance something will happen that they will reduce the price/release some cheap seats - but that's a hell of a gamble and certainly not to be counted on.

hi i booked my direct flights to Orlando with aerlingus in august of last year to fly out next month and it was 710 euro return then in december i booked my girlfriend on the same flight and it was 1150 euro for the same flight some price jump  and has of this morning for the same fight its around 800 euro they go up and down so i would book now , Orlando is selling well for aerlingus when the flight was launched in august they were flying three times a week Tuesday Thursday and Saturday and the prices were high due to the demand now they have added another flight on a Wednesday so prices will stay low enough with the added capacity a little tip to keep the price down try and fly on the Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday flight its cheaper then the Saturday flight hope it helps

ok thanks a lot.im now thinking of booking my flight home asap and wait and see about the outgoing flight. a friend of mine booked delta last july to goto orlando in early september and got return flights for less than 500. there was a stopover in atlanta both journeys though.so i think i might gamble on delta coming down for outgoing flight. that a more likely scenario?thanks

why don't you book the entire package; flights and one week hotel with someone like this http://www.panoramaholidays.ie/AniteNextPage.asp?p=LATEDEALS&s=808409635

Thats sounds about right with stop overs its cheaper that way the more stop the cheaper it gets , as with direct it more expensive to me that sounds daft but its the way it is

I think EI have really put up the prices very high on the Orlando route.
I booked 300 odd days before Easter 08 (well for 2 weeks returning Easter Sat/Sun), and got the flights for EUR2,100 for 2 adults and 2 kids.
The same flights, booked the same period in advance for Easter 09 now cost EUR3,150. Thats a 50% price increase year on year.
And to be honest, the EI planes I flew on were very old, and I would be reluctant to use them again. Continental offer a much better service, at better prices.

that's is some jump alright but the price of oil is going up so they are passing it onto us ,i also agree that the EI fleet is old but they are updating all the long haul fleet the A330-200s and A330-300s are getting new seats and in seat entertainment too to be ready for next year and they are the only company doing direct flights from Dublin and you pay the premium delta don't do them direct so you pay less for the inconvenience Monarch airlines do them too but its only one flight a week on a Friday from June this year

    thanks for all the help.

yeah i think ill book my return flight with aerlingus asap and then wait and see on the outgoing flights with delta and aerlingus to see where the better deal is.

    cheers

We are going to Orlando the first week in September and flying with USAirways from snn to philly and on to MCO. We got three seats and an infant for €1,500.00. Great flight too doesnt leave SNN until 2.45 pm arrive MCO 22.20. Beats AL and all other airlines hands down, and we should know been doing this trip for years now.You have to go through www.americanholidays.com to get this price.

We have no affiliation with above company.

PM me if you want help finding them.

    Hi,
Have you booked this flight yet? I just booked my flight around the same time. If you book with Trailfinders they have a special offer at the moment once you book a hotel with them. Got my flights for €2055, 2 adults 2 kids

    Hi
Just stumbled across this topic now so apologies for my tardiness in relation to this post. I Booked Orlando last september with Aerlingus from Dublin for myself and my Girlfriend. We are flying out on the 19th of this month and returning on the 9th of August. We were one of the 1st to book this flight and it cost us €1800 incl all taxes and charges. The dates that we are flying are peak dates as they are Saturdays and Book-end traditional summer holiday dates. I have checked out regularly in the meantime, the price of these flights. They have steadily increased to a level where they would have cost approximately €2600 or €2700. They have returned, in the past 2 weeks, to €1800. This is due to the fact there are only a handful of seats left and they are most likely trying to fill the plane. The actual cost of the tickets has decreased at the moment however with the Rising cost of Fuel surcharges the tickets work out to be the same as last September.

Personally I would book flights as early as is possible as the prices will rise and you will get the best deal. You would be taking risk leaving it to a few weeks before you are due to fly as prices may not drop and also the prospect of future fuel surcharge increases in likely. Fuel surcharge last september approximately €60, now it is €340 for 2 people.

Also the Dublin - Orlando flights are scheduled at good times. Depart Dublin at 12pm arriving in ORlando at 4pm Eastern Time and returning departing Orlando at 6pm and arriving in Dublin at 7am. Also you dont have the hassle of Changeovers etc.
