Why do people think that these ads have stuck in their memory over others?

I remember the Rollo ad with the Elephant.
The kit-kat ad with the dancing pandas.
There are so many, but I put those two down because they are not recent ones.

A recent humorous ad that springs to mind is the “Bud Light” ad with the remote controlled helicopter being flown about to trim the hedges, grass, blow leaves, etc. All set to an Airwolf theme tune.

No-one else seems to have seen it though!

The Hamlet Cigars ads were classic till they banned adverts on tobacco products.

Remember the one with the fisherman who put a gramophone with Des O'Conner playing on it into the river and the fish hopped out and into the net rather than listen to it !

Ahhh..... would make you crave the sweet smell of a Hamlet Cigar:D

I'm loving the new Carlsberg ad with Jack Charlton. Alcohol companies always put so much effort in.

Can't remember what it was for but it was an ad that was on years ago - where the father finds the pregnancy test in the bathroom and charges in giving his 2 teenage daughters a what for about how they had been giving the talks and should have known to be more careful - only for the mam to turn around and announce that it was them that should have been more careful!!

The one where the guy runs around town looking for a pub that turns out to be called Grrrrreeeeeaaarrghhhh or something like that. It's for a beer I think.

I love watching old videos that I've taped off the tele, and there are still ads on them!! Remember the milk ad?
"When I grow up I wanna play for Accrington Stanley (or something)"
    "Accrington Stanley?'Oo are they?"
    "Ex-zactlee"

I love the new VW ad with the dog singing away when he's in the car and then cowering in fear when he's outside of it. Makes me laugh every time I see it. The song is actually pretty catchy too- have heard it on Today FM a few times now.

I remember it too, it was Kit Kat. Something like an assembly line in hell and then they stop it for break time. This is going to be an all nighter *puts on kettle*

    You're right Ruu.

Pretty sure it was kitkat, they split one between them and headed off into their separate lifts if I remember correctly

I think the coca-cola ad where they use stop-go animation to show various scenes, where enemies are fighting while football is playing on a radio/tv nearby is great. The last scence involves a little fat guy who jumps out of bed when a goal is scored, then a handsome man in a thong jumps out of his wardrobe :D

I can't find it but I always loved the Charleville cheese ad! :D

"Now it doesn't actually make the sandwich, no that would be silly........but it knows!!"

"There's so many things I can make with it: sandwiches.........on toast........sandwiches"

    "Cheeserines: Like figureines.......BUT WITH CHEESE"

And of course, the Kerrygold ads are legendary!
"Did ye miss the boat?" :pac:

While everyone is googling adverts, can I ask a favour. If anyone comes across the current Miller ad where the guy is refused entry to a club and then the garage next door converts into a bar with the bearded old mechanic serving drinks on a tray etc etc Well can they post a linky.

My West highland Terrier starts singing and howling to the music in that ad. I've searched myself for ages but cannot track it down.

    Thanks

My family and I are probably all going stright to hell but we all used to wet ourselves laughing at the old water safety adds with the kid banging the big steel drum and the "where's Grandpa...?" They were aired years back. Think it may have been a bit of an in-joke but I still giggle anytime I think of it.

    :pac: :D:p

The coke one which has a guy watching football and when a goal is scored he hugs a person. The person he hugs changes each ad.
