I think There all fab if thats what you are looking for eg. My friend in the centre...

But there is not alot of variety.. I dont actually know many girls that wear long dresses to Debs anymore... Well not where I'm from anyway... It seemsto be the minority now.....

I think shorter dresses makes them seem less...grand somehow. I think longer dresses are the way to go. It is a special occasion afterall-you can wear shorter dresses anywhere.
Your dresses are very nice although I think the straighter skirts are more flattering to the models used. Also..Im not meaning to critique!, cause I really do think they are well made but some appear simply as blocks of colour, especially the brighter full-skirted ones

I dont disagree.... Your right in what you are saying..

I'm just pointing out from a business point of view.. To optimise capital you have to have the right products...

Totally agree here too... But again from a business point of view block colours are still very popular.. again note he picture below... ratio 2:3

Sorry to use my friends and I as an example again, but after all we are the target market...

    thanks again
i have uploaded some bridesmaids dresses now and am working on getting some shorter styles.
the block colour is also a good one but all the dresses can be done in any colour so if the buyer wishes they can have a different colour top to skirt.
ill also check out and see if i can get some more colourful ones too

i only this week decided to start selling them.
i have already gone to all the schools in the area and put up flyers on notice boards.
im hoping to get a website up and running in the next few weeks but they are fairly expensive to get done

The site looks well, best of luck with it. Just a pointer about selling debs dresses in case you have'nt already thought of it. Its a good idea to keep track of who your selling the dresses to. Specifically what debs they're going to and the style and colour of the dress. Nothing worse than turning up to your debs and there's a girl there with the exact same dress.

3 girls turned up to my debs in the same dress bought from the same shop, tbh it does'nt reflect well on the shop either, they should have been forwarned. I know you can only do so much but it will reflect well on the business if you actively try to avoid this situation.

Just my 2c, good luck with it, the dresses are lovely and Waterford badly needs this.

In the straight-cut dresses, it'd be more original to have them more flowing. This was my debs dress, I got it off the internet. I loved it, everyone else did, and I think it's a really great way to make a straight cut long dress more interesting. In this dress, the front frilly part is attached down a vertical seam in the back.

I will defo check out the other forums to see if i can get the website done any cheaper.

We already have a book of records of who is going to what debs and what dress. I personally think that is very important as i would hate for anyone to turn up with the same dress as me.

The dresses are fantastic - I wish I was going to my debs again

Would you not think about stocking dresses marketed at wedding guests (shorter dresses) there is a serious lack of nice dresses (coast, monsoon and places are getting boring) also anyone can buy them from them shops but if you took the name and town of the wedding for each dress you'd have serious business

Also if you are, think about stocking dresses in the smaller sizes (ie a 6)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 25 lessers

We do have an instock section which has dresses for wedding guests etc. I myself wore one of them to a weddding recently. We are constantly ordering them in and if someone would like a certain size of any of the dresses we could order it in for them.
All our other dresses are made to measurements we recieve from our customers so the dress is made especially for you. We also have a short section in the page which would be suitable for weddings etc.

Your dresses are gorgeous!.. You could also think about setting up an Ebay page aswell...

Maybe try teaming up with a few make-up artists, hair stylists, beauticans in the area, have links to each others bebo pages/web pages. If someone goes to one they nearly always ask about a recommendation for the other.

Ya thats a good idea we are going to set up an ebay shop shortly and also teaming up with some salons etc is a great idea. Also any suggestions on names would be great as we are having trouble thinking of one

Hey we have now added some wedding dresses and would love to know what ya think of them. Honesty is the best policy here. If you dont like them just say we wont take it personally :)
