Smackdown

Long time viwer, first time poster!:)

Why are the WWE doing their very best to destroy Smackdown? I know this has been touched upon but they really seem hell-bent on ruining it. Nobody outside an OLD Undertaker, a bland Batista and, to be fair, a great heel in Edge.

John Morrison, the saviour I think.... King called him a "young Shawn Michaels" (Ok I'm paraphrasing) at the Royal Rumble this year. The guy is quality and should be given a push sooner then the Miz.

Smackdown has been an afterthought since 2003.

I was really hoping they were going to put Morrisson over Batista the other day, it would really have given him a shot in the arm, no puns intended there.

Raw is the flagship. That won't change.

I know that doesn't answer your question. I suppose the best answer is - thats just how it is.

Smackdown has all the ingredients to be good such as Edge, MVP, Taker, Matt and Finlay, and of course it has some of the most promising ECW stars such a Punk and Morrison on a consistent basis. However it struggles due to the fact it seems way to reliant on roided up talentless rubbish like Bootchtista, Henry, Khali, Kane and Big Daddy V. Vicki is a god-awful gm as well.

OLD Undertaker? The guy is only 43! I don't have a problem with the show - I enjoy it just as much as Raw. The Edge/Vickie story is not the best, but in general I like the show. It was always going to be the 2nd show with Raw being the live televisied show.

He's not the wrestler he was. Snake eyes to big boot is slower, he looks in pain, he never used to do that and he just looks tired. He's always going to be my favourite but he jsut looks old to me. I know he's 43 and physically he looks better than he did a few years back but I dunno.

What I would like to see very much is Jericho moving across and feud with Edge. Two mic specialists. Would be awesome!

The Edge/Vickie story line is getting tired the show needs a change or it will start to sink, Taker should win the title at Judgement day and put an end to it for good. I'm sick of seeing that stupid wheel-chair (why) coming out and her talking crap.

I would have to agree with you to an extent, however, in my opinion, SmackDown puts on a much better house show than Raw does.

Were you at the Point the time Tatanka and Matt Hardy went 20 minutes? After surviving that, they rewarded everybody with a 10 minute Michelle McCool/Kristal match. It was a painful night.

    I was there.

Thankfully there was a Chavo/Benoit match that night too.

I just mean in general, eg, the SmackDown house shows in Belfast in December were miles ahead than the more recent Raw tour.

To improve Smackdown! i think they need to put Jericho(playing the heel) and John Cena on the show to give it greater pestige. I also think to should take Undertaker off TV and make him return with his American Badass gimmick as i believe he has been stale for 3 years now. I also wouldn't mind seeing Edge turn into a goofy face again with all the "reeking of awesomeness" stuff etc

Another idea would to have a good solid tag team divison on SD! to give it a different feel to RAW, my idea would be to have all the tag teams on SD! chasing the title and to also give them more mic time to express their personalities which therfore would make the crowd give a **** about them.

Like what Nitro would do i really think it would be awesome if Smackdown had some highflying luchador action right on hour mark of the show.

What do you guys think of my ideas?

Cena won't be put to the B show. He is the biggest star on raw. Jericho going to SD is a good idea, but I doubt it will happen as he is a big cheese as well.

American bad ass idea is a bad idea.

Do you not think Taker is bland as hell and that the Badass gimmick will re-invent him again?

I don't think that, although I would welcome back The American Bad Ass any time.:D

The frustrating thing about Taker is the gimmick it’s incredibly stale. The man can still do it n the ring though, and anyone who disagrees here’s a fact, HE GOT MORE THAN ONE GOOD MATCH OUT OF BATISTA! That is not something that happens often.

Welcome Lurker ! :) . Ye I agree with everything you've stated, Smackdown do have the ingredients for even a half decent product, but there no were near it at the moment, to much of Mark Henry, Big Daddy V.

P.S Am i the only who thinks that Batista since the royal rumble is getting much better in the ring and on the mic?. He got some excellent promo's with HBK, and i think the feud should continue with him somehow interfering at Judgment day.

I always thought he was good on the mic but his spear is laughable and there's no point in doing all the work before hand well if your finisher is a pile of balls. His entance is exciting though

His Spear is a joke. Nothing on Rhyno or even Edge. But saying that he has gotten much better on the mic too. But really all he has is a massive pair of tits..

I'd rather see Taker goin' back to the Ministry style than the Badass. With the ministry he was a more "Evil" phsycho character. Deadman taker is just goin for the "ooooh.. I'm scary" approach. I loved the days where he would crucify people on the Undertaker cross symbol and stuff.. and the Ministry Taker entrance theme was kick ass. The whole.. slow walk to the ring with the retro theme has definately gotten old at this stage

not at all, that image never worked for him imo, it couls have been anyone, but phoenom taker just cant be imitated (please dont point out that he WAS imitated years ago with ted biase-pretty sure it was kane)

Are you for real? Three words for you, Summer Bash Tour! It was f*cking horrible by all accounts. I've seldom come across anyone who had a good word to say about that farce of a show, especially the gem WWE gave us with RAW in the Point the year earlier.

SD is on shakey ground at the minute as well. The network it's been on has been bought out more times than a 50 euro whore on Baggot St. And i genuinely think they are looking to get shot of WWE on their network.

Btw, nice to see someone else sees Undertaker for the crippled old fart that he is.

Was actually Brian 'Chainz' Lee. If Marks goona stay as the dead man hes gotta freshen things up his entrance is painfully slow they should put him on a hearse or something. Would welome the ministry Undertaker or even big evil. On a different note anyone know where wwe were going with the unholy alliance Mark controlling Show storyline they cut short due to Marks injury?

DiBiase's Undertaker was Brian Lee, close friend of Calloway and best man during his first marriage I believe. Kane was still in SMW at the time that angle was going on in 1994 as Unabomb.
