Where are you based - I can recommend someone but not much point if you are in Cork.

I bought my pipe / fittings and tool from Automec in the UK. I don't have it here though. Good bit of kit, mounts in a vice.

The only problem is the word "urgent". If that's the overriding concern then a local motor factors should be able to knock some pipes up for you.

If you only need to do one car, you could order a car set from Automec and have it in the time it takes to dispatch (perhaps 3/4 days). If you need / want to do two or more then it's worth getting the tooling to do it.

    Thanks for the "Automec" source
I have about 2 weeks to get the brake pipes replaced before retest.
I will see can I get the tooling plus piping from the UK in time as I will have other cars requiring brake pipe replacement in the future

    Hi John,

Can't be of much help but I got all my brake pipes made up by KK Hydraulics in Tralee. Check the phone book for a company that do hydraulic hoses & fittings in your area. The may also have the flaring tool for brake pipes.

The one I bought was a "Universal-Light". I don't think they had the "Ultra-Light" in the range at the time.

In that case, Eugene Hogan in the Blyry industrial estate, Athlone. He can make up sections of copper brake pipe. Don't think he's set up to do steel pipes.
