I'm trying to install Vista on a machine that I've already installed XP on, however even though I've chosen to boot from cd only, it still tries to boot to XP even though I have booting from the harddrive disabled

Any ideas on how to just simply install Vista and wipe the existing operating system?

The problem i was having was that the keyboard wasn't being recognised, i had to attach a usb to ps2 adapter and I was able to boot from cd and do a clean install then.

    Anyway problem sorted
