Kayaking in Kilkenny

    Hello,
Does anyone have any idea about kayaking in Kilkenny, such as where to rent gear and good spots to kayak?

After visiting Inistioge one sunny Sunday, I saw two people come off the Nore with kayaks, it looks a lovely spot to do it.
However, I heard the area around Graine is better (I think that's what they were saying).

    Any ideas anyone?

I think you can do it in Graiguenemanagh - I know I did as part of a school thing about 10 years ago!

There's an active club out in Thomastown - the Thomastown Paddlers. They used to have a website but I can't find it now, though there is a Bebo Page (Link here).

There's a club in Graignuenamanagh as well - think the clubhouse is down from the bridge near where the diving board is. You can't miss it - it'll be where all the local kids are jumping into the water with their wet suits!

In town, there's a canoe club as well (Link to website)
