    Hi Guys,

I recently got a half head of hair extensions in Scruples on Talbot Street but 2 weeks in and they've nearly all fallen out. They are uneven and shedding on a daily basis, truly awful!! I'm going back in to get them to take them out and refund my money (hopefully!) They were 550 euro which is alot of money to me.

Can anyone recommend anywhere good in Dublin to get extensions?

    Thanks alot.

eBay do some very cheap very nice clip in extensions. I bought some from devilzchaplain (ebay ID). You send in a lock of hair, they match the colour and your pay through PayPal or whatever. Cost €40 for a full head, which is for nothing!!!!

I would never ever get hair extensions put in my hair, they are so bad for ya. I have quite bad mad hair so I keep it short during the week and put in some extensions at weekends, they look fantastic and really natural get loadsa compliments

I bought some extensions from Hairspray in Wicklow St. The match the colour of my hair but I don't know how to out them in without looking fake. Where my own hair stops, you can see an obvious line.

Post a picture, I might be able to help you. I do my own hair extensions from scratch and have had all the usual problems, getting them to stay in, getting them to blend, hiding the joins etc. I find you often have to cut them to blend them with the rest of your hair. Layers work wonders! :)

Claire lou1983, can I ask what colour your hair is? I was thinking of getting clip in hair extensions, but I've blonde hair and I'm afraid I'll end up looking like Roxy from Eastenders!

My mate has the Jessica Simpson clip in extensions, and I was really impressed by them. You clip them on under the crown-temple area of your hair and they really stay put all day and look so natural!

I'm going to get some when I get paid..

I've heard they're really good alright. I'd be worried about getting them online though, if the colour doesn't suit you can't return them.

There is a Hothair counter in Arnotts that sell the Jessica Simpson hairpieces. They have a huge selection of colours so would be best to go there rather than online.
Although they are made of synthentic hair not real so you wont be able to use straightners etc and may go out of shape after a while.

Mine are brown and I curl the clip in extensions and do a kinda beehive to make them look natural and cover the clips :) look fab!!

Nice one, i'll try there. I think there is a hair shop on Wicklow St in Dublin that sells them too.

The Jessica Simpson one's are great.

I think Ultimate Hair and Beauty in the GPO arcade sell them.

EKK- Just make sure that they are qualified and have experience Sometimes they advertise as needing models for before and after pictures, but they dont need these at all, its a way getting you to get them done. They use low grade hair and are not even trainned to do hair extensions , if there not put in correctly you will end up loosing some of your own hair and you could get bald patches, just be carefull about who you go to there are geniune people out there but just be carefull!!

I got the HairDo (Jessica Simpson) extensions the other day. There's a shop called "Hothair" on the 2nd floor of Debenhams on Henry Street. I'm really pleased with them! They look very natural and are really secure.I'd much rather use these than damage my hair with glued in extensions tbh.

They're 95 euro for 19" synthetic ones and about 400(!) for 22" real hair ones. They have a really good selection of colours there too.

My OH is looking to get hair extensions and I was wondering if someone could help with a few things.

    1) Do any of the regular salons do them...peter mark etc or do you need to find a specialist salon?

    2) Is that place on Wicklow street that does them still there?

    Thanks for any help.
