How long before we can get a decent sized (>60GB) one for sensible money? I had every intention of fitting one to my laptop when I ordered it, only to find it would cost around 800 euro to so so.

    So no way.

Will the performance boost really be worth paying for, or is it just the reliability of the things?

Like everything, prices will drop in time. I've 2x 64GB's for my current PC build.

Well, that must've cost a few quid. Is there really a performance benefit though? It's just the drive bay on my XPS is pretty accessible, so I can pop the HDD out and fit the new SDD easily. Dell= Modular...

It was an uopgrade I was looking at doing maybe next year, if prices have fallen enough.
