Well basically my question is, does consuming whey give you a mental buzz? I've only taken it a few times, and when I have it's driven me hopping mad.

The stuff I take is the whey concentrate from bulkpowders.

ive supplemented with whey for years and i've never experinced a "mental buzz". whey is not a mental stimulant and the majority of the brains energy come for carbs.

    but any things possible

ps: if u keep experincing this effects i'd suggest you stop taking it and go see your GP!

Haven't noticed one myself. But I usually take whey after lifting, when I'm pretty buzzed anyway.

I have the same stuff and have never suffered from the effects you describe. I personally know several people like me, and have consulted online with several more.

There's absolutely no reason why would give you a "buzz". There's no stims of any sort in it, it's not like drinking red bull etc.

I do have a possible explanation tho....

Your "buzz" is a placebo effect, no doubt....

Nah I got told by a "qualified" fitness instructor to lay off the "whey protein as it'll give you protein rage"

When I asked her about eating beef she said that was fine as it was natural.

Use your toothbrush, leave the toilet seat up and kill your whole family...

    Smokin though - that's grand.

Yeah seriously, it's nearly as bad as cell-tech. My mate's sisters friends cousin did it and had no PCT and without that he lost almost all of his gains, which was a small plastic bottle with cell-tech written on it.

and to make matters worse apparently he died about 50-65 years later.

    One-handed clap for that man.

lots of foods have creatine in them and its not bad for you! creatine is essential in your diet, don't get me wrong this doesn't mean you should O.D. on creatine but to imply that creatine is all bad is incorrect!

"Protein Rage" lol that's a new one. And who ever told you about it is a fool! thats like saying chicken fillets will make you go mad.

Whey is just a dairy product like cheese or yogart it is the liquid remaining after milk has been curdled and strained and its hardly "unnatural"

I think you should check the batteries in your sarcasm detector...

As for a "Buzz", I've never gotten one from Whey. What are you mixing it with?
