Problem with Recording on UPC DVR

Hi

I have an issue with the Recording Memos on my UPC PVR. I accidentally duplicated a recording memo, which is set to record every Mon to Fri at a set time. It's OK if I delete one of the overlapping recordings each day, as the other one can then record, but if the overlap is not deleted daily, neither will record.

Has anyone found a way of permanently deleting a Mon-Fri recording memo? If you have, please let me know, because I've searched online and in the manual, to no avail.

yes, next time the memo appears in My TV Planner, press the Blue button to Delete. When the pop-up appears, the last sentence prompts you to delete all occurences of the memo by pressing the Stop button (bottom left hand corner of the remote). That will do the trick for you.

Press the stop button twice. You're probably pressing stop then ok.

At least your DVR records shows, even if you don’t want it too

My DVR ‘s TV Planner / schedule has frequent boughts of Alzheimer’s!
$crewing up it’s own schedule

I schedule something to record through either EPG or ‘Advanced Settings’
I save Memo’s. I check its OK
I double check it again later, and later yet again
Grand, everything is fine – it’s remembered to record
But it $crews up!

This has happened repeatedly esp. since UPC update 4/6weeks ago

e.g. Sunday. Starting with an empty TV Planner / Schedule

Set repeating record memos through Advanced Planning
Corrie twice on Monday
19:30 - 20:00 & 20:30 -21:00 TV3, repeated weekly

Corrie Wednesday
19:30 – 20:00 TV3, repeated weekly

Corrie Friday
19:30 - 20:00 & 20:30 -21:00 TV3, repeated weekly

Home & Away
18:30 – 19:00 RTE2, repeated Mon-Fri

(Sad? Maybe, but soaps are much maligned art form and a small price contributing to a happy marriage.
Given that Memos were set up under some protest, I made darn sure they were indeed set-up correctly)

I also set up recording memos Using EPG
Dustin’s Road to Belgrade
Tuesday, RTE2, 19:30

Bring Back Radio Nova
Tuesday, TV3, 21:00

(Plus others)

Repeatedly double checked Memos
Yet, Tuesday evening, Schedule Gone!

No Corries
No Home & Away
No great loss ;-)

No Dustin!
Now that’s completely unacceptable!!

Maybe the software couldn't cope with the bad singing and it assumed it was recording interference?

sounds crap. Is it recording anything for you, or is nothing recording?

DVR usually records correctly – oftentimes without incident

HOWEVER, you have to keep and eye on scheduled memos as they just seems to go haywire at least once every few days

Problem seems to have gotten worse since last s/w upgrade

As yet I haven’t noticed any pattern, but it appears Schedule list seems to get corrupted / deleted

As for talking to UPC NTL Technical Support - Good Luck :rolleyes:
Aside from suggesting Ctrl – Alt – Del, they couldn’t offer an opinion
