marshland in booterstown

    is it possible to access or get near the marshland at booterstown? i had a look in while going by on the dart and there is loads of bridlife. i would love to get an hour in around the area.

    you can access the Blackrock side from Blackrock park (or you used be able to in any case) and there's a new kinda park on the mount merrion side, along the rock road that you can get in

    and would boots be ok? is there stable ground around the edge of the marsh, or do i need chest high waders?

    There a concrete "walkway" running alongside the north side of it.... i dont think the marsh area is accessible itself - looks very wet most of the time...

    The marsh is a listed nature reserve. I don't believe you can actually enter the marsh without written permission. You can, however, photograph from around the sides.
