Olympus lens bargain?

    Hey,

    I got one of these during the week in PC World Liffy Vally. Its a good lens for €99. There is a new version of this lens out at the moment and it costs about €200 in town, but I have been reading reviews of both and most poeple seem to like this old version better. And in the new one its f4.5-5.6 which is not as good.

    When I got it i though they only had the one in stock, but i was up there again and they have a new one out on display. They are in a display case just inside the door, its on the top shelf.

    Don't know if the Olympus users need a 80-300mm telephoto lens (seems like a good price though).

    that's the one i was thinking of selling. not because it's a bad lens, but because i rarely use it.

    I have the newer version and access to the this one (I sold it to my brother), but I rarely use either since I got the 70-300.

    having said that for €99 its great value.

    Isn't that the older Olympus kit lens?

    I'm sure i got one of these with my E300, and yeah, it's a great lens, i still use it loads.

    And I believe I got the last one :D ... think I'm all lensed out for the next while.

    It is quite loud :P
