A friend of mine has got me a ticket for the final on 24th yesterday. Now I heard about all the different routes people were taking to get over to Cardiff (another friend is driving from Cork to Belfast, flying to Birmingham and train to Cardiff) so I wasn't too hopeful of getting over but I discovered that Ryanair are doing Cork to Bristol at 7am on 24th and returning on 25th at about 8pm. I'm a bit nervous abour booking it for a number of reasons
    1. Surely a flight so convenient is not booked out already
    2. Ryanair don't usually fly to Bristol
    3. They put on a special flight for the 2006 final but cancelled it the morning of the game
    4. Can't find any news or press release on it

Has anybody here booked this flight or heard of it. I just checked again and found that places are still available.

Well i know ryanair had flights to bristol for the semi-final too and plenty of people went on them it was grand so i think u should be alright. i'm pretty sure ryanair have been doing flights into bristol outside of sporting events too. Just had a look at the flights on ryanair their. They r really doing the dog on it. even flights into london standsted r a complete rip off.

Cheers for that, I booked it but as you said it's not cheap. I have a brother in Bath so at least I don't have the accommodation costs.
