You have to look at these bundles closely as some of them arnt saving you anything if you look at my thread re ps3 games its cheaper to buy all the different things you want in several different shops

So where would you recommend buying the unit on its own so?

I would be open to online stores too.

EDIT: ended up getting in tescos, €400 with GT5

as far as i saw if you want to get the unit on its own its €400 no matter what shop you go to, dont know about online i do all my buying in normal shops

Tesco 400 for GTA and console.
Ring around, they are very helpful. That has to be the best deal around though. Zavvi do it too but Tesco are more likely to be in stock.

They're out of stock right now, hopefuly theyll do it again at that price or do a good deal on the MGS4 bundle.

I'm pissed there's no dualshock 3 with the European version, unlike the US ... & Japan get a dualshock 3 and a six-axis thrown in for good measure!!

I have to disagree 100%. I rang Tesco up today actually and the dude in the customer sales department or wherever told me to ring back in an hour because he was on his lunch break....if you're on your lunch break why the f*ck did you answer the god damn phone??!!!

I rang Tesco today and spoke to a adequately helpful (he mightve been Indian and his english was poor, but at least I found out whether or not PS3s were in stock) guy, he wasnt very polite or friendly though (...all I did was say he had sexy voice and we should go for drinks... )

Zavvi on the other hand had much nicer and helpful people on the phone, including a girl who probably had a pierced tongue and is magic in the sack...

the only ps3s that seem to be in stock around Dublin are the rachet and clank bundles for 469

if GTA4 packs dont come this weekend, I might as well wait for the MGS4 packs to emerge the following week

Interesting event in Game in the Ilac yesterday.

Wen't in, asked for the Mgs4 Race Driver Grid bundle and out he came with it. Scanned though the games, scanned the PS3, that'll be €375 he says.

I gritted my teeth, counted to 5 and told him that seems a little low. So the Manager came over and there was some talk and basically seems theres a muck up with the system, HQ know about... they werent all that pushed. They were about to give me it for €375 anways when they figured a way to trick the system and got me my full price.

Yeah so... €475 PS3, MGS4, Race Driver Grid bundle seemed pretty good compared to other bundles floating about, and you can get the MGS4 bluetooth headset thrown in for another €50, which seemed not quite as good but yeah.

Are you only getting one controller and a Composite Cable with any
of the packages?

so add another 50 or so onto the Bundle Price?
