Notwithstanding that the question has been done to death, should this type of question not be in the GTA forum rather than clogging up the PS one...

(perhaps along with all the other GTA referenced threads currently on the go here)

Most people here will say PS3. Most people on the Xbox forum will say Xbox. There's no point asking on either board. Ask on the GTA forum.

the gta forum is made up of ps3 forum and xbox forum so it just turns into a petty war.

i'm ps3 all the way, i've never been impressed by anything on the xbox but everyone is different, it all depends on what other games you are interested in and what you're friends haev etc. ps3 is definitely the better investment long term with blu ray etc but if you're just buying it for gta? then whatever is cheaper i supopse as both consoles play is the same when it comes down to it
