    Hi,

I am new on this particular forum.

I bougt €10,00 shares in BOI in November and it aint looking too good, but anyway.

Now i want to spend €3,000 on shares and have looked at sterling shares, namely Tesco. Because it is a relatively small investment i am conscious of the commissions you incur on initial investment.

Do you know any website or firm who charge afforable rates, i.e. 1% of investment or something like that.

Oh and why you are at it, what you think of Tesco? (i am thinking of the exchange rate gain potentially)

i think tesco are decimators of town, villages and cities across europe. p.s. i wouldn't go near investing in a share for currency gain, just invest in currency if thats your game. much more efficient.

I use www.selftrade.co.uk who you can use if you have a UK Bank account.
They charge GBP 12.50 per trade.
On UK shares you pay Stamp Duty at 0.5% of the value of the transaction as well.
