I'm holidaying with wife and 8 and 6 year old boys in july for three weeks in south of france. We've been before for past 5 years but this year i'm toying with the idea of renting a convertible as opposed to other times when we rented a hard top for the 3 weeks. Its really hot there and was wondering if its too hot for a convertible. Does anybody have experience of renting one and if so what would you recommend. Cheers...john

Have a convertible here myself and rented one on holidays previously. They're great for cruising when you are going at a slow pace but at any decent speed you are likely to blow the rear pasengers out of it and they'll get fed up. But for leisurely touring in nice weather they are fantastic.
