    Cool thanks, So is their an adaptor that converts the signal from the white and red audio plugs on the VGA cable? or does this cable connect directly into the xbox?

    Thats an optical jack, check the part of the cable that goes into the xbox for the little square optical port.

    Any elictrical shop. Maplin, Peats, Currys, Dixons etc.

    Don't pay a fortune for one about €10-€15, better cables won't give you any increase in sound quality.
