Sore shins / ankles

Dint want to bore everyone with my story, trying to lose a bit of weight 3-5 kgs and lose the belly.

Im not a fan of weights to be honest, so its more so cardio that i do.

I try and run 4km a day during my lunch then when i get home do a small bit of sit ups, press ups etc and a wee while with dumbells.

I have started to get realy sore shins whilst out running and my ankle is not sore but not right (if you know what i mean)

Any idea what the cause of this is. Im not looking for doctors advise as someone told me it was the lack of shock absorbers in my trainers?????

PS the running i do is on the footpath / road and the trainers i have are a pair of axis

I'm not an expert by any means but do you stretch fully before running etc.?
When I use the treadmill at the gym sometimes my shins hurt a little, but I think this is due to the runners I used - they were extremely flat and not made for exercise. I'm very fit and I always stretch so it's possible that it's your footwear?

I got this as well recently mate. Then I got it in my knees, right one especially.
    Changed runners, still the same.

Pure nuisance. Thinking of takin up cycling instead.

    two things i'd advise -

see a chiropodist - you running style may be causing you discomfort ie the way you plant your foot on the ground

get ortothic insoles for your runners. try them out. it might help
