Connecting to Network Problem

One for the IT support people around here!

We have a user who cannot connect to our network when he is here but when he works from home he has no problem accessing his mail and the drives he needs to get access to on the network.

When he comes in to the office he doesn't get a logon script and gets the limited or no connectivity connection status.

Now, is it something so easy or has he as I suspect done something that he is not telling us about (which happens all the time!)

We have tried changing the Ethernet cable, point he connects to, releasing and renew the ip and other basics but still no joy.

Has he set a static IP address and gateway on his network conection specific to his home network but not to the work one? Does he get a new IP when you run ipconfig/release , ipconfig/renew?

    No on both counts
