Have I vioded my warranty

    I have a Dell inspiron 1501 which came with XP on it, I have since upgraded to vista, does this affect my warranty with dell at all?

    No, warranty is on hardware. You are fine.

    Wouldn't think so, only if you go doing hardware repairs or open it up would you void the warranty.
    Have you not got the original system disc anyway?

    if you have an issue with your laptop they may tell you the O.S. is unsupported and ask you to put XP back on

    ok thanks for the replies, yes i do still have the original installation cds, just wanted to make sure because i have to contact them today and i didn't want to and myself in it!
