Aer Lingus to increase ling haul fuel surcharge

    There you have it. Aer Lingus are increasing the fuel surcharge on the long haul routes to Boston, New York etc by €15 so it goes up to €65 each way with it rising by €15 on other long haul routes too. RTE say it's the seventh increase since May 2006 which seems a lot to me but with the oil prices the way they are at the moment it isn't too much of a surprise.

    Are other airlines acting like this, or as quickly as this???

    AFAIK with the weakening dollar, oil prices have remained stable for quite some time when priced in euros, which is presumably the currency EI deal in....
