Hook & Eye put on dress - now a smidgen tight!

    Hi people

I have a wedding in two weeks. I have a super swing dress with tull and while it was strapless I had the shop organise their dressmaker put on straps which turned out excellent and gave that extra security. The dress is very well boned but they also recommended putting on a hook and eye at top of zip and I agreed as it gave extra extra security. And that gave me extra confidence as I am pretty well endowed on top!

I tried it on this evening and with my strapless bra it is a smidgen tight, not overly. Probably the straps have made a difference. I am just wondering is there such a thing as an extension that could be put on hook and eye, like you would get for buttons? It would want to be not too noticable. Even though I have a jacket the back of it just rests above this area where the zip closes, so I am thinking of getting a wrap, just in case.

I thought maybe because of the weather being so warm that I may have been that bit puffy after the day. I have lost a stone in weight and am thinking maybe to stay off the carbs over the next two weeks, and maybe that will solve it! HA!

    Any tips?

do you really need the hook and eye? does your dress zip up and stay up fine without it? You could always take it off? Or just bring it back to the shop and ask them what you should do, they might be able to get it moved out a bit for you.

I suppose I don't really - I only got it put on for fear the zip might come down but it is a hidden zip, if you know what I mean. Someone said to me that I could secure it for my own peace of mind with a small safety pin just below where the zip reaches the top of the dress. Might be an idea as well.
    Thanks for that.
