There's another French bakery on that little street that leads from the Powerscourt Centre towards George's Street Arcade.

Can confrim that the bakery on Wicklow Street does have custard slices. Well technically mille feuille, but it's the same thing. Roughly. :p

It's called Leon or somethin and is related to the Maison de Gourmets which is around the corner methinks. They looked mightily tempting.

Up near Camden Street there's the Boulangerie and the Bretzel Bakery... pretty sure they have vanilla slices, and their eclairs are to die for :)
