    Hi All,
Was in Dunnes in Blanch last night and they are selling Bulmers Cider 750 ml bottles for 2.49 euro each. Not a bad price considering they are selling the 1 litre bottle for 4.49.
    Cheers Freebee23

I have a feeling there'll be a lot of offers for the 750ml bottles over the coming while......

Possibly due to C&C being up shi*e creek due to Magners not takin off in the UK?

Magners was huge for C&C in 2006. Problem was "summer" of 2007 barely had a sunny day in the UK - early indications in the UK licenced tade shows good take-up of Magners this year.

As for price reductions, C&C have realised they must play the price games just like everybody else.

O'Briens off licences had bottles for 2.49 last weekend too.

Deadly gonna check my local Dunnes (Galway) today and see if they have anything

I love bulmers but I find it a ****n disgrace when it comes to price.

Its ridiculous in comparison to everything else.

im lucky I can drink almost any drink.

I love harp which I get 6 for about 7.50.

    6 bulmers = almost 15e that’s double.

They should really get there act together and start lowering the prices

There's a much higher tax on Cider than there is on beer

It does suck, was in Temple Bar last week and a Pint Bottle was €6.40... Its €4.80 in the pub down the road. I know thats nothing to do with C&C but its mental....

Tesco were doing this offer aswell, 2.49 for 750ml and 4.49 for the 2x 750ml christmas pack. kept gettin em in for a good while (specially the 2 pack) but now are totally out of stock and not coming back in so its looks like they may be gettin discontinued (don't quote me on it though)

edit: this is tesco bloomfields so other tescos might still have some left

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 105 ✭✭richiek

as far as i know the 750ml bottles are left over christmas stock, McHughs off licence on the kilbarrack road got a load of them in a while back, they also do litre bottles for 4.20 cheaper I've seen
if people are looking for a decent deal on cider though, they have this stuff called kingstone press in mchughs, its just under €3 for a 660ml bottle, i personally prefer it to bulmers.

I paid 7 euro in fitzsimons templebar for a pint bottle.
Outrage . I only bought the one, and then left

I think back to the days when it was considered a knackers drink. Cheap and in a plastic flagon bottle. Them were the days.

€2.45 for 750ml bottles in Dunnes Stores, Knocknacarra Galway.

I cleared the stock :D (and ive a pic to show a full boot)

As I was loading the boot, all I could hear from across the car park was "B4stard" - I thought nothing of it until I looked around and some dodgy scobie giving me a dirty look before hopping back into his car.... sorry :o:D

    I predict a good weekend! :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,780 ✭✭✭pissed

Let's just say I know that the 750ml hasn't taken off in the way they had hoped (or budgeted for), maybe they have a lot of bottles and packaging in stock which they need to shift........maybe.

There was plenty of stock in Dunnes Carlow today, looked ridiculous beside the normal priced litres with no offer tags/explanation.

Other 'theories' on here are off the mark, this offer will go on until all the excess bottle and packaging stock is gone and they've obviously waited until early summer to push the button on this.

Absolutly loads of stock in Tesco Clarehall, Dublin 13.
Dr. Nick has an interesting post above, seem to be a product that failed to take off.

Tesco seems to have marketed it as Christmas stock. So buy em folks but I'd check the best before date to be sure

super value in waterford have the 750ml bulmers

    €3.77 each or 4 for €10.......sweeeeeet:p

Govt. budget decision a few years ago. Before the cider 'boom' as it happens.

Id say a group of us here in Belfast single-handedly kept Magners in business on Wednesday. Emptied out our bin, filled it with ice and cold water, and relocated out onto the lawn. Best day as a student so far.

Ok they don't have the offer in Tesco or Molloys Nutgrove. Supervalue Churchtown.

I found them in Costcutter Windy Arbour. Got 11 bottles 2.49 each.None left on shelf i didn't ask if they had anymore in stock.

    Hi FR Dougal,
Superquinn are still selling 750 ml bottles for €2.49. They were available in my local store in Blanchardstown the weekend so hopefully they have some left in other branches.

    Cheers,
