    This is not a C&C...well suppose in a way it might be but not sure which picture is the better/worse.
    And why is one better/worse to the other?
    All part of my learning curve.... :pac:

    His body/breast is actually that Black, I know it look's like I went to far but I didn't, just checked the originals.

    I've just being informed he is actually a Rook.

    clone out the path - a bit distracting.

    I like #2 as well. I prefer the one with a bit more space around him though, instead of a crop you could clone out the path in an editing program?

    you might have cropped that a bit too tightly - would have left it as it was and got to work with the stamp tool: was a nice balance of subject and negative space.

    you need to get your hands on potatoshop (cheap if you're a student)
    or give the Gimp a go if you're only starting (free)

    I'd definitely recommend photoshop I love it :D

    Done in photoshop in literally 5 seconds... Hope you don't mind me messing with it, I just cloned out the path behind and the dandelion..
