    ok it's nearly time to buy and I'm in 2 minds...

    EF 14mm or EF 16-35mm

    The quality from the 14 is sharper but the 16-35 is more versitile...

    any opinions?

    I'm thinking of getting the 16-35mm myself. Looks like a great wide lens.

    I have seen shots from the 16-35 and it is sharp.. my choice

    i guess it depends what other lenses you have. a fast 14 lens as sharp as a tack or a 16-35? i'd take the prime any day of the week
