Couple of shots from last week... I was hoping to get some unusual shots but I think the only unusual one was #3 in the end :p I was trying to get a lot of DOF into these shots as I love my DOF :D So do these do anything for you? Any C&C welcome as usual.

    #1 Daisy

#2 Off a tree I found in the garden, no idea what it is though

#3 and a branch off the same tree

    #4 A teeny tiny flower/weed :D

Love the last one, and especially the DOF.

    Really like the daisy too.

    Thanks!

The lens I used was the one that's stuck onto my Panasonic compact camera :D It has a really nice Leica lens on it though.
The Panasonic TZ1 is equipped with a Leica DC Vario-Elmarit 10x optical zoom with a 35mm-equivalent range of 35-350mm and a focal ratio of f2.8~4.2; the actual focal length is 5.2-52mm. The closest focusing distance is 5cm in Macro mode with the lens zoomed-out.

Love the colour in #1, #2, and #3. Bokeh in all is really nice. #4 probably best of the bunch for me although to add a critique i think the bokeh/depth of field combination has provided a scenario where what looks like noise has crept in. Not sure why this is apparent. I've noticed it on some take of my own too when you try to get extreme levels of bokeh - can you ever get too much bokeh? (rhetorical question). ;o)

    nice stuff.

In #4 that flower in real life was about 2-3cm in length, this plus no macro lens would I'm guessing be the reason for the noise? I really pushed the camera to it's limit with that shot.

I know rhetorical but no, you can never get too much bokeh :D
