Dusseldorf - what to do?

Anybody have any tips/ideas what to do in dusseldorf for a few days / nights? Will be there mid week. I know the shopping is supposed to be good - as is the beer? anything else? Thanks

yes the beer is good. Disseldorf is a small city with a cool old town center, lots of bars and restaurants. Its also by the Rhine and so there are various boat tours, I did one once which went south I think (towards Bonn) passing some cool old German castles. I think its about 40 mins to Cologne (much bigger city) by train so a trip there would also be possible.
