cycle path/track around maynooth

    hi
    i went cycling during the beautiful summer bank holiday weekend in maynooth.
    went from maynooth to donadea forest park..
    had a nightmare with so much of vehicles..

    is there any better track/path to cycle and enjoy the summer around maynooth?

    i am not hard core cyclist, may be 10-15kms one way i can manage..not more than that.

    any suggestions well appreciated

    Nice cycle to/from leixlip along the canal path and paved a lot of the way. Join it at maynooth train station.

    i never knew we can cycle along the canal..i thought it was just a walking path

    You could cycle to & then around Castletown House grounds in Celbridge, theres a good few trails around it and the Liffey.
