doubt it. think that's why they call it a bank holiday

The banks are def closed today. If you put in a lodgement slip with the cheque in an envelope and put it in the letterbox, theyll do it first thing tomorrow.

I might just rip up the cheque and post the pieces back to the useless gimp that gave it to me.

this "24 hour banking" stuff is a myth

it's only a myth if people use prehistoric ways to pay you.

Hold on, my neighbour says you can lodge a cheque in an ATM. Simply shove the cheque in the slot that gives out the money.

    Must try that.

Dear god, DO NOT DO THAT!!!!!!!

Most Atm's are locked into place and getting stuff out from behind the back of it can be impossible...... So if you want to loose the chq go ahead.

ATM's are not used for lodgements. If you must, put it in the letter box. Night safes are the only safe way of lodging money when the bank is closed and there only for business users.

    Went down to the bank.
There was a man standing outside, dressed in a security guard's uniform. He said that the nightsafe facility was broken and to give lodgments to him. So I gave him the cheque and my account details. He said he would make sure it was lodged tomorrow.

    Sorted!

Now I can enjoy the rest of the day.
