I was supposed to go on holidays today

    Brothers,

I was supposed to go on holiday today to Portugal. However my son is sick so I have stayed behind. Wifey and daughter have gone ahead. If the young lad is better in a couple of days I may head out on Wednesday.

    My question is this..

How much beer do I need to last me on my own until I go away? Also can you tell me how my washing machine works?

Turn this to your advantage. Bond with your son. Order in fastfood. Watch sports all weekend.

All the wimmins gone from the house ? Sounds like a holiday to me.

    To answer your specific questions:

    1) This is a trick question, isn't it ? You need all the beer you can get without turning into a dribbling mess.

    2) STAY AWAY FROM THE WASHING MACHINE! This last bit is important. :)

Lots. You can never have enough beer, and you don't want to run the risk of running out. When you've bought as much as you think you'll need, buy the same quantity again. Then buy some more, just to be on the safe side.

You could try shouting at it, otherwise I'm stumped. :/ Hope your son gets better soon and that you can enjoy the holiday.

Dunnes are doin a good offer on Miller
SO question is not how much you need,, but set a new record in how much you can drink in 1 day,,, best to start after 10 am, otherwise youd juat be an alco.

As for the washing machine,, stay away...dont even let her think you know where it is..... if you do it once it will be expected in the future.... better still wash her favourite white dress whit her favourite red dress and on high temp..

    Thanks for the responses brothers.

I am going to order a few extra crates of beer to tide me over...

The washing machine is a troublesome one though brothers. The little fella keeps throwing up over himself (and me this evening) so we are rapidly running out of clothes.

Now I am happy to wear a cardboard box like Homer did when he was in need but I suspect the young fella won't appreciate that. Should I plead for help in the LL?

Get a raincoat for yourself and the nipper. So long as you scrape off the upchuck before it dries in ... yer laughing.

    That is all.

The perfect solution.... Now where to get raincoats at 10.30 on a Saturday night.

At this stage I do not care. He is asleep and I am drinking beer and watching a western between The Premiership and MOTD.

    Cormic,

Put the clothes in at a 40 degree wash. Just to be extra sure, put a colour catcher in aswell to be sure sure. sit back then, and enjoy your beer :D

By the way the important info in this whole discussion is that the western was called

    3.10 to Yuma.

Good film. Corm gives it two thumbs up. :D:D

Brother, look at the dially thing and see if it has an option 4. No matter where I've been it seemed to do the job. still does. All other settings should just be tipp-exed out as they are only there to confuse.

Was in Portugal last week, Estoi, Faro, Taveria and Moncarapacho. I'm peeling like an apple but fcuking hating being back. The weather is great over there right now :(

The washing machine goes on a 40 degree wash btw, usually number 7 on the wheelie thingamajig :D

    Numbers

Washing machine manufacturers are anti-BGRH. Mine supposedly has letters and either D or F is the option of choice.

    eeeek

I never thought of that. I suspect that some amnesia will take place before wifey returns.

Son is a lot better but we are staying here rather then going out. I am really enjoying my time off as I can watch my own TV (no soaps etc.) and eat what I like. Also beer is drunk every night without nagging.

You missed out, the local beers over there are damn tasty and for little or nothing (80 cent for a 330ml bottle). In Moncarapacho 2 beers, 2 G&T's, 2 bottles of mineral water and 2 big bacon toasties costs me 7.50 euro. You could seriously live like royalty over there for 100 euros a week, next time I may not come back :D .

I am partial to the local beers there. We go out at least once a year as we have family that own an apartment.
