I have some external cedar cladding which I Know can let age gracefully without any treatment. But if I was to use some sort of stain or similar finish what is recommended?

    Echelle,

We have cedar cladding as well and did not want it to 'age gracefully'. We have treated ours with 2 coats of Sikkens paint - this has added a little colour and then one coat of Sikkens filter which gives UV protection. I think it looks really well.
