Mouse problem driving me mad

    This is driving me absolutely demented.
    The mouse pointer thingy disappears when its put over any text and when I'm typing too. It just started for no apparent reason and the option to hide it when typing isnt selected so i don't know what the hell is goin on!

    please god someone help me fix it! :(

    If you go into Display Properties>Settings>Advanced>Troubleshoot> and set the Hardware acceleration slider down 1 notch from Full... does it still happen?
    It's one thing to check out anyway... hardware cursor or whatever it is.

    try going into control panel>mouse and opening the pointers tab
    and choosing a different icon for 'text select', something might have got corrupted
